Materials testers check for internal and external defects in metallic materials. If you train as a materials tester at MEYER WERFT, we’ll teach you the basics of metal technology, so that you can identify and analyse the causes of various faults. You’ll also process materials, prepare samples, and test and determine the properties of materials. You’ll measure and calculate, work with a microscope and document your work processes, measurements and results.
