Lots of strings come together in our Procurement & Logistics department. Our purchasers are responsible for procuring everything we need to build our new ocean liners. And since we buy around 15 million new parts for each cruise ship (over 75 percent), this department is one of the busiest at MEYER WERFT. The whole process unfolds here, from the initial enquiry to the final negotiation.
Our purchasers coordinate with the employees in our Engineering Office, Sales and Design, and Production. They also liaise with the purchasing departments at NEPTUN WERFT and MEYER TURKU, as well as with the Central Procurement & Logistics department in Luxembourg. They coordinate our service providers and weave a reliable network of suppliers to create one of the basic requirements for the success of the MEYER Group.
