Betula

Yard number S. 532 was delivered by MEYER WERFT in 1968. The ro-ro ferry was the first of five sister ships built in Papenburg for the Swedish shipping company AB Svea.

Betula initially operated between Helsingborg and Helsingør. In 1992, the ferry started travelling between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote under the name “Buganvilla”. After changing its name to “Tarrafal” in 2003, it now forms a link between various Cape Verde Islands.
