MEYER WERFT to build another Luxury Liner for NCL

Papenburg, 03.05.2005 - The US cruise operator Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced today that it has placed an order with MEYER WERFT for a new cruise ship scheduled for delivery in early October 2007.

The new ship ordered in Papenburg is a sister ship to Norwegian Jewel which is currently under construction and will be completed in August 2005. This 93,000-gt vessel is 264 m long, 32.2 m wide, and can accommodate almost 2,400 passengers.

"We are very thankful that Norwegian Cruise Line has confided in us once again," states Managing Partner Bernard Meyer. "By the year 2007 Norwegian Cruise Line will have eight ships in their fleet built by MEYER WERFT."
