With MEYER RE, the MEYER Group expands and complements its core business, the construction of new cruise ships: As a new partner of cruise operators, the new company MEYER RE aims to maintain ships throughout their entire service life, to modernize them with sustainable solutions, and to ensure optimized ship operation. This results in significant advantages for customers, e.g. one-stop support during the entire lifetime of the ship, from development to extended operation.
In the future, MEYER Group customers will be able to benefit from MEYER's extensive know-how and services also during the lifetime of the ship. This continuous value preservation makes a significant contribution to sustainability by extending the lifetime of the vessels. "Meyer RE will generate additional work through further orders for the whole group of companies. This will make our new ships more sustainable as a product because we design them directly in a modular way so that they are easy to modernize. I am therefore convinced that MEYER RE will be an important building block for our future," says Jan Meyer, Managing Director of MEYER WERFT.
The focus here is not only on the refurbishment of passenger areas, e.g. public spaces such as restaurants, and also on the delivery of new passenger and crew cabins produced by the MEYER Group. Entire revitalization projects with companies from the partner network are also planned. In addition, MEYER RE and MEYER NEPTUN Engineering offer new, innovative engineering services for shipping companies, such as in the energy management of ships. In this area, the MEYER Group offers its own software solutions. With the conversion of existing fleets to regenerative fuels or the retrofitting of fuel cells, MEYER RE is making a further comprehensive contribution to the decarbonization of cruising.

MEYER RE is divided into three areas:
MEYER RETHINK - consulting and development of solutions for optimized and sustainable, because energy-optimized, ship operation. New and innovative IT solutions with the use of AI are used for and technological enhancement of existing ship systems.
MEYER REVALUE - Preservation of value through modernization of the interior and hotel areas (refurbishment) as well as maintenance and servicing of the ship's equipment, conservation work on the ship as well as, under the necessary hygiene requirements, modernization of the air conditioning technology in order to keep the operating costs and energy requirements of the ship as low as possible during operation.
MEYER CARE - Even after delivery and well beyond the warranty phase of the ships, we offer maintenance contracts as well as digital technical documentation, manuals/manuals and crew training for the optimal use of the complex technical systems on board new MEYER cruise ships.
The new company is currently being introduced at the Seatrade Cruise Global 2022 trade show in Miami. "MEYER RE will utilize the technical expertise of the MEYER Group and will also directly start recruiting additional technical personnel for the new business segment," says Alexander W. Höfling, who has taken over the management of MEYER RE.
