The invitation to this year´s event was followed as last year by over 100 partner companies. The event began in the afternoon in the "Old shipyard" with lectures of Bernard Meyer, Lambert Kruse and Ralf Sempf about the actual situation. Bernard Meyer gave an overview of the development in the cruise liners market and Lambert Kruse commented the youngest investment plan of Papenburger ship constructor. Ralf Sempf got into details about the further strategic collaboration with the suppliers from Werft. Further partners from MEYER WERFT have been distinguished:

The strengths of companies appear in the results of the supplier evaluation of the ships AIDAdiva and Norwegian Gem. The order book of MEYER WERFT is full until 2012. "The challenge in the last years is the extreme price increase of raw materials and the increase of cost pressure in a varying market achieving just a ber collaboration with our suppliers .", said Bernard Meyer. As a view of the issues challenged in Korea, Japan and China; Werft and its Suppliers must have their productivity and sense in a continuous increasing improving constant process. "We have b suppliers' partners, with which we accomplish the common tasks", said Ralf Sempf, Sales Manager. This year's award showed the continuous improvement.
