The employees in our Legal department have a wide range of responsibilities, as they provide all kinds of legal support and advice to the companies in the MEYER Group. This is where all our contracts are handled with suppliers, financing banks and our customers, the shipping companies. The Legal department understands itself as an internal service provider for the different parts of MEYER Group.

This legal support includes gathering comprehensive information, making decisions on legal issues and participating in (contract) negotiations.

There is close interaction with a number of other departments, especially Procurement, Logistics, Sales and Design, Accounting, and Research and Development.

Some of the legal professionals at MEYER WERFT include industrial lawyers, fully qualified lawyers and syndicate lawyers.
