Norwegian Star

Norwegian Star

Norwegian Star is the first of two cruise ships in the Dawn Class with the yard number S. 648. The white luxury liners in this series are almost 300 metres long. They were built by MEYER WERFT between 2001 and 2002.

There are two cruise ships in the Dawn Class – Norwegian Star and Norwegian Dawn – and both feature a rich selection of entertainment. Passengers can enjoy a wide range of sports and leisure activities on 14 decks, including a casino, theatre, running track, golf driving net and gym. The ships in the Dawn Class also have several pools, whirlpools and waterslides, as well as 15 restaurants and a child-free area. The “Garden Villas” are another real highlight on board Norwegian Star and Norwegian Dawn – this 600-square-metre expanse features a garden, whirlpool and sun deck.

The Dawn Class, which was built by MEYER WERFT for Norwegian Cruise Line, served as inspiration for the Jewel Class: Norwegian Jewel, Pride of Hawaii (now Norwegian Jade), Norwegian Pearl and Norwegian Gem.
