MEYER WERFT has once again honored numerous employees who have been with the company for many years and are celebrating a work anniversary. At the Forum Alte Werft in Papenburg, the historic location and “birthplace” of MEYER WERFT, 85 employees celebrated their 25th or 40th work anniversaries. Eleven of them have been with MEYER for 40 years, 74 for 25 years. This year, there are a total of 133 anniversary celebrants, 122 of whom have been with MEYER WERFT for a quarter of a century, and eleven for 40 years. Bernd Eikens, Managing Director of MEYER WERFT, Thomas Hebbelmann (Head of Human Resources), and Andreas Hensen (Works Council Chairman) thanked the employees for their many years of service. They also welcomed Bernard Meyer as a special guest at the event.
“The employees are the backbone of MEYER WERFT. Their outstanding work guarantees the success of the shipyard. A little over 40 years ago, the construction of cruise ships began at the shipyard with the Homeric. Over generations, you have all contributed to this success story with your dedication,” said Bernd Eikens. Thomas Hebbelmann emphasized: “The large number of employees celebrating anniversaries once again demonstrates the high level of identification and loyalty to the MEYER WERFT Group! We would like to express our sincere thanks for your commitment and loyalty.”
Works council chairman Andreas Hensen also congratulated the jubilarians: “The colleagues we are honoring today for 25 or even 40 years of service are part of the success of MEYER WERFT. Your commitment, your consistency, and your team spirit are the foundation of our shipyard.”
