Keel-laying of second club ship

Papenburg, 10 March 2007 - At MEYER WERFT the keel was laid today of AIDAbella, the second club ship out of a series of 4 for AIDA Cruises.

The traditional lucky penny was placed under the first of a total of 55 blocks, which weighs approx. 450 tons, is 32.2 m wide, 6.90 m high and 16 m long. The ship is being built under the yard number S. 666.

The AIDAbella is due for delivery in the spring of 2008. She will be followed by ship number 3 in 2009 and number 4 in 2010.

The ship's tonnage is 68,500 gt. She will be able to accommodate a total of 2,050 passengers.
