Due to the fact that MEYER WERFT is certified as a family-friendly company, the topic of balancing job and family has become one of the main focuses within work structuring. The family-friendly measures do in addition hold the advantage that they have a positive influence regarding job satisfaction and working atmosphere. They give room for a growing and staff-oriented corporate culture.
Therefore, a flexibilization and appropriate support are offered to the employees when it comes to increased temporal and content-related burden. A corporation with the kindergarten and family centre St. Michael in Papenburg came into existence in 2007. Also services regarding the arrangement of childcare, household helpers and the care for seniors, and integration assistance may be used. An in-house kindergarten is planned for the future, in which the children of our employees and of our staff can be cared for and looked after during working hours. 30 places will be offered shortly; 15 nursery- and 15 kindergarten places.
By flexible-long opening hours, an age-appropriate and interest specific promotion of the children with an early childhood education is going to be ensured. Furtheremore, care during holiday times will be provided.
Furthermore, MEYER WERFT cooperates with the family advice centers in Papenburg, which can give advice regarding problems of education, separation, pregnancy, or relationships. A cooperation with the social psychiatric service provides home visits, individual talks or group offers in order to help dealing with problems.
