MEYER WERFT is one of the largest and most modern shipyards in the world. Cruise ships for international shipping companies have been built at our production and construction docks for several decades.
To this day, 61 of these luxury liners have left our shipyard - and the next ones are already under construction.
Built upon tradition
The shipbuilding company has been in existence for around 230 years. What began in 1795 with shipyard founder Willm Rolf Meyer and the construction of small wooden sailing ships has developed over the following decades and centuries into the construction of cruise ships today. MEYER WERFT has repeatedly demonstrated its pioneering spirit. In 2018, for example, we delivered the world's first cruise ship powered by LNG. MEYER WERFT is considered one of the leading technological specialists in the field of cruise ship construction.
