DORO LONDA to undergo Sea Trials

River Ems Passage of 21st Passenger Ship for Indonesia

Papenburg, 18th June 2001 - After completion of the interior work and extensive yard trials the new passenger ship for Indonesia - DORO LONDA - leaves the Meyer Werft shipyard of Papenburg/Germany on Tuesday, 19th June 2001 to undergo the sea trials. On her non-stop way to the North Sea she will pass the Papenburg sea lock at about 11:00 h. Following the two-day sea trials in the North Sea, which include manoeuvring and endurance tests, DORO LONDA will return to Papenburg on Thursday, 21st June 2001. The naming and hand-over ceremonies of the 14,800 gt, 146 m long and 23.4 m wide passenger vessel which is capable of carrying 2170 passengers in the Indonesian inter-island service, will be held on 30th June 2001. On 3rd July 2001 DORO LONDA is scheduled to leave Papenburg for Jakarta where she will arrive approximately three weeks later. The vessel´s home port is the Indonesian port of Lembar.
