Access to the Shipyard
As safety is paramount at MEYER WERFT, access to our shipyard is only granted upon prior registration. Depending on the nature and duration of your work on our premises, you will be given a visitor’s pass, day pass or long-term pass. Frequently asked questions
I need access to the shipyard premises. What do I need to bear in mind?
Access is only possible with a valid shipyard pass.
Which shipyard pass is the right one for me?
Short-term pass: For access for one day up to a maximum of three weeks; a distinction is made between office visitors and visitors to the production area (e.g. tradesmen, engineers).
Permanent pass: Issued for occupation lasting longer than three weeks.
Shipyard passes must be applied for in advance.
How do I apply for a shipyard pass?
Short-term passes for office visitors can be applied for without a form from the contact person/site manager at MEYER WERFT.
Short-term passes for visitors in production are applied for with a form by the main contractor from the contact person/site manager at MEYER WERFT.
Permanent passes are applied for using a form by the main contractor who has concluded a valid contract/order with MEYER WERFT GmbH & Co. KG. Subcontractors must apply for the shipyard pass via the main contractor. The forms can be sent by e-mail to anmeldung-mw@meyer-port4.de.

What happens after I have applied for my shipyard pass?
Short-term passes for office visitors are only issued at Gate 1 by the responsible gatekeeper.
Short-term passes for visitors to the production area are only activated at Gate 5 at the employee registration desk and issued by the responsible gatekeeper.
Permanent passes are only issued at Gate 5 at the employee registration desk.
Which documents are required for the application?
The prerequisite is the order from MEYER WERFT GmbH & Co. KG (order number, order year, account assignment).

What documents do I have to show when I collect my shipyard pass?
A valid identity card/passport (valid official photo document) and proof of health insurance (e.g. health card) must be presented when collecting the shipyard pass.
Can expired/inactive shipyard passes be reactivated?
Yes, by selecting the "Extension" registration type on the "Registration, extension and deregistration of employees (Supplier) at MEYER WERFT GmbH & Co. KG" form.
What do I have to do if I have lost my shipyard pass or if the pass is damaged?
Since you as the contractual partner bear full responsibility for permanent passes, a report of loss or damage must be made immediately to one of the gatekeepers at the gates.
What should I do if I have found a shipyard pass?
Please report immediately to the gatekeeper at the gates and hand in the shipyard pass.
Unauthorised use or passing on of shipyard passes may constitute a criminal offence!

Working on Sundays
Working on Sundays and public holidays is generally prohibited. However, MEYER WERFT has a permit that allows work on Sundays and public holidays under certain conditions. The timely personal registration of employees is necessary to ensure compliance with all the rules.
